Notting Hill Carnival

Haven’t made bank holiday plans?  London this bank holiday will be the place to be, this weekend is Notting Hill Carnival, which is Europe’s biggest street festival!

Notting Hill Carnival has been happening every year in London since 1966, in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, it is an annual event which never dissapoints.

What is the carnival about? It is a celebration of the Caribbean communities in London, their culture, creativity and traditions. The carnival is free, and features two days of amazing live music, a diverse mix of reggae, dub and salsa. The streets are filled with steel bands, great food stalls, lots of soundsystems and of course happy faces!

The main parade starts on Great Western Road, winding its way along Chepstow Road, then on to Westbourne Grove, and then down Ladbroke Grove. We hope the sun is out, it’s going to be a great weekend, see you there!
